Hello everyone,

My name is Tony and I am Tattoo artist from Johnson City Tennessee.
Im 36 Yrs old with several kids .A love of all things natural and Motorcycles.
I joined this forum hoping to get a leg up on my first "hot rod" project.
Its a 1950 ford F1 Not a restoration but definatly a ground up project.any help or advice will be greatly appreciated as I have no clue where to even begin.

Welcome to CHR, I'm sure you'll find answers to your questions here. Lotsa good info and knowledge at CHR. A 50 Ford F1 WOW those make nice Trucks , Big Cabs a buddy of mine just sold his some time back, not sure where to start, ? you mentioned it's going to be a ground up project. Hey Slaughter, welcome to CHR. F-1's make a real nice project. I guess first thing I would work on is the suspension. There are numerous companies that make IFS kits for the front. On the rear, you could stick with the leaf springs, or go to coilovers. You could air bag the whole thing, too. The best first step is to decide the "look" you want the truck to have, then make a plan how best to achieve it and stay within whatever budget you have for the project. I usually "build" a project on paper long before I ever turn a wrench. Just my 2 cents worth.

hey F1s are way cool. I have 1 one on the back burner its gonna be fenderless and way channelled over the frame. I am searching for a straight axle and frt. susp. Ask lots of questions before u cut anything up and u will have a happier finished project. Ives rdhotfrd
