    Hello everyone!!

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site as well. I've been looking in for a while but thought it was a good time to speak up. I currently play, usually play nice, with a 69 Firebird with a 12.5:1 comp chevy 383, big solid lifter cam, turbo 350, mopar 8 3/4 rear 3.91 posi, yada yada. You know...realitively offensive!!! Now I'm putting together a "driver" convertible. If anyone is curious, I wrote a rediculously long thread in the engines column describing my intentions with the "dual quad on an AMC 401" post. I also run a real nice Jeep 76,000 mile CJ-5 with a healthy warmed over rebuilt AMC 360, tremec 3spd, dana 20, dana 44 rear with 4.10s if anyone out there likes overpowered Jeeps. I think of it as a 3100 lb, topheavy, skinny, short wheelbased hotrod that will really keep your attention when you lay into it....then you go over things!

Glad to be here. I'm sure I will learn lots of new tricks in this crowd. I like to surround myself with people who are way more knowledgeable than myself(doesn't take much by the way)

Welcome aboard. Hey, man, I can respect the AMC's. Read my response to your other post and you'll see why.

Nice, Javelins are fast when tuned up a bit with the 390. My new project should be interesting...we'll see!

People seem to like the "bird". It's got an original 400 hood and a not original to the car but authentic 69 Trans Am spoiler on the trunk lid. In all screaming fighting chicken yellow! Between that, the whine from the timing gear drive and exhaust rumble, the "big winged" crowd seems to be happy to give me a wide berth. Fine with me...I'm not much for confrontation!

    Thanks for the thoughts,

    George

P.S. I believe the girlfriend has the digital camera this week, and she travels for work til Thursday. I'll try to get a pic or so on soon.

I just ran across a "bird" picture of the 69 we took a month or so ago. I put it up in the members' galleries. Hope it cuts it around here. There are some sweet rides floatin' around.
