Greetings
I'm not really a hot rodder. I love rods, been going to drag races and car shows since the 60's. I'm a fair mechanic and love to tinker, but I've never built anything that is really "hot."
My last two vehicles were Isuzu Troopers. They fit our needs perfectly, but I have been frustrated by their complexity. I even have to remove parts to change a headlight! I've never learned how to do much on a computerized vehicle and when it goes to the shop, the costs are astronomical.
Wanting to simplify my life, I recently bought a 68 GMC pickup with a 327. It was love at first sight and I'm having a ball with it! It's only drawback is fuel consumption, so modifications are in order and that is what brought me here. Who knows more about engine modifications that hot rodders? :-)
I've been lurking around for about a month. You can be proud of yourselfs for having one of the best forums on the net. The quality of information is excellent and the BS is kept to a minimum.
