    willys builup

I came upon this website looking for help on my 460. So I decided to join up and bug everyone with my project. First of all I'm not dedicated to spending a lot of money on this project. It started out as a gift from my dad, a 1951 willys pickup. It has been a few years now and I'm not that far along. The frame was sandblasted and primered, the front end was cut off and replaced with a 60s nova front end, which was free. The rear axle was salvaged from a delta 88 which was also free. All four corners are fitted with airbags and the back has been c-notched to sit lower. The progress on the cab has been slow and bothersome. It has been chopped 2 1/2 inches and the seams welded up for the smooth look. There you go, two years in a paragraph. If anyone has made it this far in my story don't stop now. I am currently trying to get a 76 thunderbird to start so I can yank out the engine. guss what .... it was free. the plan is to just get a running truck together, nothing special, rusted, primered, parts missing, I don't care. I'll post some pictures so everybody can see

Hello and welcome, Glad to see another Willys owner aboard. First anything to do with willys can be bought throught the web .I have been restoring Willys for 27 years and have met some crazy costumers but thay pay the bills. Most want all orignal parts and looks. Every thing takes twice as long and cost twice as much .Dont get discougaed and press on .Good luck MARCO
