Greatings and Respects - from KingJes
Hello everyone, I figured that since I got my motormount/cross member question anwsered it was time I checked in with you salty dogs of Clubhotrod and said hi. So hi.
Anyway, bit about me if you care, I have put 4 custom bikes together now and love it. Been doing bikes forever but I have always loved the rod scene. Car shows and events really get me going.
I have a 29 Ford Closed Cab I just picked up about 2 weeks or so ago. I felt like a wussy buying my first rather then building but everything I have read said this is usally the best way to go. Its a good place to learn rather then trying to build frame up.
So, if you are intrested in saying hola or whatever, please do. I dont bite unless she likes it! haha

Motor is a 5.4L/327 from 66 Vette
What kind of intake does it have?
an Edelbrock aluminum intake.
What kind of Carbs does it have?
3 Rochester 2-bbls
What kind of headers does it have?
Homemade headers may be Hooker kit cause on the inside of the backing plate it has "HH"?, Cherry Bomb mufflers and Homemade stainless high-pipes.
What kind of ignition does it have?
I believe it's a stock GM point’s style dist.
What can you tell me about the brakes?
Rear's are '65-66 Mustang drums (9"x2" I think. The front's are '64 Ford Econoline van units.
What can you tell me about the axels?
The rear is a '65 66 Mustang, and the front is a stock Model A I-beam thats been dropped and drilled (the spring looks to be a stock A unit, as well.
What can you tell me about the transmission?
It's just a garden variety TH-350 auto. The dipstick is incorrect so I just fill it
until it reads about an inch or two on the stick and let it dribble if it's over full. (professional huh?)
What can you tell me about the chassis?
it's an unboxed stock frame with an aftermarket front engine mount crossmember, a
pretty well designed homemade trans crossmember & mount, and a square tube
frame/bed support bolted to the rear rails.
What can you tell me about the Gauges?
The gauges are early Stewart Warner items that read correctly (at least the temp and oil pressure do) the speedo I think is about 10 mph slow.
What can you tell me about the wheels and tires?
Wheels are steel Ford 15x6's with '57 Fairlane hubcaps and New bias-ply tires from
Coker Tire.
And here is the latest photo I have of her. Took it Sat. 07 May 2005 after a long day or working on her.http://www.kingjes.com
