Another Buick Guy Here
Found the forum looking for Nailhead stuff on the internet andd it looks like a few Hot Rods here have the power of the Nailhead...
I'm building a 65 Wildcat, converting from automatic to tremec 5-speed. Nailhead power-dual quad 425.
Just expanding my knowledge here!

My engine! With the Q-jet on it - Testing carb set ups is one of my goals. Single carter vs. Q-jet vs. Dual Carter vs. dual carter aftermarket AFB's.Last edited by wildcat_65; 05-14-2005 at 09:04 AM.

Welcome Ted!!! Great to have yet another Buick in the mix! Even though I love the power and torque of the 396 in my '37, I plan to go back to Buick power with a 455 (I just have to stay with the big blocks). By the way, SWEET looking picture of your mill!

Welcome, Ted. Great looking Nailhead you have in the pic!! Anxious to hear how the carb testing comes out. I've just started on a 425 Nailhead that will eventually reside in a '27 Ford Coupe and just joined V8 Buick to try to get a bit of education on the motor. Both sites have some very knowledgeable and helpful folks. Hope you enjoy your time at CHR as much as many of the rest of us do. Good having you on the site.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
