Re: howdy
welcome people, i just joined myself and still findin my way around here but see a lot of knowledge/talent and good info sources here. nice people too.
. jr, that impala ss sounds like a custom machine, what's under the hood? is it mostly show for now or also go..that 4 speed sounds like a go direction even though i'm partial to autos..
49-51 mercs are among my top 3 favorite rides to have [radically but well chopped and in black please], and another is '33-'34 blown hi-boy ford w/chop/channel and in blk primer with a '32 grille but there's no such a thing as a '32 model a tudor..if it's model a than it's pre '32...unless i'm high right now.
2-moon, i dunno the factory hp ratings of those later cougars but it should be easy enough to find via google, etc..just type in the year/model then look for returns that list sites of specs/history..i'm not certain if edelbrock came as a factory option on these cats so likely your 351 might be slightly bumped up from stock specs by a previous owner[s].Last edited by juras; 06-14-2005 at 02:52 PM.

thanks the, Impalas got a few goods under the hood opened up the breathing and the exhaling, along with the gearing makes it a formidable opponent for most streetlight drags. Probably a 383 or SC in the future.
Agreed chopped mercs althe way.
As far as my old T-Bird stock they are aroudn 255 my had about 350 at the wheels, massive modifications (like 15-20lbs) of boost lead that car lead to early detination...
as far as a79 goes.. i have not a clue.. whats the engine size?
