Northwest Newb to site
Hey everybody!! As you might see from the AV, we're Wade and Roselie. We've got a few projects in work. A 61' Ford Econoline that's nearly complete, minus some of the interior upholstery. It's been parked for the past couple of years, but I try to take her out at least once or twice... A 54' Ford F100 has been used as a makeshift donor for my 55' project. The 54' will be put together again later to be used as a local cruiser with power steering, power brakes, and the auto for the lil' lady to drive....unless she changes her mind again....
Current labor of love, sweat, tears, and bad language from time to time... a 55' Ford F100. Chassis and drivetrain has been gone through completely. Working on the cosmetics now. Body work is coming along a little at a time....but still taking it to shows cause it's a driver!! Engine is a 223c.i. - six cyl. and using the automatic for now until I go through the three speed -w overdrive. Plans are to keep it basically stock appearing, other than the smoothie wheels, and maybe a monoleaf setup later on.
Having to do all the work myself because building my new shop last summer used up the extra $$$.... It'll probably never be any kind of major show winner or anything like that, but we're having fun all the same...

While it's nice to win now & then, havin fun is whats important.
Welcome to the funny farm.I dig ALL cars, old & new, whether they were hammered out of american iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just my opinion.

Hi there, Old School. I've got a 55 Effee also. I am like you and your plans for the 54 (Power steering). Boy these things steer hard with any big motor and the current box in mine is looser than a goose. Stay with it on both of yours. These trucks can be tons of fun.
PS. I lived in Bonney Lake (east of sumner just off of 410) from 90-99.Duane S

Welcome to CHR Old School! Hey, if your not doing anything this coming weekend, swing down to Mossyrock as my wife and I w/friends will be doing the Mossyrock Dam Rod Run! We have a vacation home on Lake Mayfield so Centrailia (and Chehalis) is in our backyard.
Again, welcome...

I was going to try and make it to the show in Toledo this weekend, but I haven't finished my latest project on the ol' truck yet.... I'm cramming, trying to make it to Puyallup next weekend...
I just put on the reverse tilt hood today, and have a few minor adjustments to make as time permits, but I'm really trying to get the bed back 'on' the truck... I pulled all the wood strips out (as they were old and neglected), with the exception of the two strips along the bed sides. This is temporary, as I'm trying to get the bed squared up when it's setting on the truck. The old wood was so warped, etc., that I believe it was preventing the back end of the bed from setting square, side to side.... The passenger side was up about a half inch from the drivers side....
With any luck, I'll get the bed back on the truck this weekend, get it squared up, some black primer, and get some new wood in place for next weekend.... but I might have to show up at Puyallup with a 'see through' view of the pavement in back.....
If I make it, I'll be parked somewhere in the back forty....usually in the corner area someplace near the roller coaster....

Hey Old School...
Did you make it to the Goodguys gig? I was wondering how that went with all the rain we got on Friday. Mossyrock weather was lousy on Friday and Sunday for the show on Saturday it was pretty decent. It was especially worthwhile as the ol' Buick took home a "Best Paint" award and what even made it better...
I spent $5 on raffle tickets for a huge hanging basket (for my wife, of course) and $5 for a red tool box (for my car) that was custom pinstripped by NW pinstripper Bob Davidson and I won both of them! Sooooo, I guess you can say it was a good weekend!
Hope yours went well also!

Ya know what OLDSCHOOL... I thought it was this weekend (the Goodguys) but on my way back home taking the backroad through Puyallup, I ran into a slug of fellow rodders and my ol' mind made me think it was that weekend!
Anyway, hope you're able to go... I'll be working at the big "B" this weekend so I won't be able to make it!
