New again
Hey all,
I been gone for awhile, and so I'm kind of new. Was off doing military stuff and working on my Nova. The engine 194 six, must have developed a cracked block. Had oil in the radiator, but otherwise ran good. Bought a questionable replacement inline 6 from a Chevelle for $50, cleaned it up a little and dropped it in. The engine smoked very badly, so had to tear it apart and overhaul it. Replaced the camshaft with a performance cam, the lifters, main & rod bearings, piston rings, and valve springs. (and of course all the gaskets and seals)
Just got it all back together today, and it sounds and runs good.
However there is one slight problem.....
I'm having a hard time adjusting the idle on it. Thinking maybe I need to buy an adapter for my intake manifold and replace my 1 bbl with a 2 bbl carb. Does anyone know if this will help at all ??
I believe the idle problem is related to the cam that I put in.
