Introduction Time.
Hello everyone.
Digger Dave doing my very first post.
I live in the part of the country where we like to say, "We have 8 months of winter; and 4 months of lousy skiing!"
I have been involved with hot rods, stock cars and drag racing for over 50 years (boy, I must be getting old! ) and now days a Bonneville racer. (B/STR) It's a '28 Ford roadster pickup.
My "driver" hot rod is a '41 Ford Stakebed Delivery powered by a 350 SBC hooked to a TH350 automatic.
I have another hot rod under construction at the moment. It is a '28 Ford Tudor Highboy. It will be powered by a blown flathead. (a S.C.o.T for those wondering) hooked to a C4 auto trans.
Look forward to visiting with the rest of you!Digger Dave

Hi, Digger. Do you know Vern Scholz? I'm in the land of 9 months of Spring, and 3 months of Hellish heat, but I've been friends with Vern for many years.

There are several companies that manufacture flathead to C4 Automatic trans.
The one I'm using looks like the one shown on this site .... (scan down to FLAT-O matic)...

Digger, Vern is going to be driving a yellow '55 Chevy funnycar that one of your locals bought out of Texas. I think it's got a blown aluminum Hemi. If you see him at the track, say "Hi" from Jay.
How much did Santa have to pay for his sleigh? Nothing! It's on the house! .
