LTI: Nice ride! I bet she scoots. Do you have trouble with traction in your s10?

I'm sure they had 'em (tv's) back then. As for how many people owned sets. That might be a different story. Scary to think about not living with TV, Internet and air conditioning. I don't think i'd have survived in those times without.

    Believe it or not:

The year that television set sales hit the one million mark, was 1948! I remember us getting one about the time I was four, or roughly 1952.

They had air conditioning back then, even some cars had it since late 30's, 1939 Packard is 1, no clutch on the pump so off, was remove the belt going to the pump.

First one I saw was in 1948 at a friend's house, I was 5 years old. They've been around since sometime in the '30's

Ok, the car is a 1950 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe. The hood ornament is the 1950 Deluxe ornament, and the hub caps are 1949 or 1950, 1949 has a blue center, and 1950 has a red center, and all the trim on the rear fenders also indicates Deluxe model. I matched up the parts with parts in my chevsofthe40s magazine, the hood ornament is like 150 and the hub caps are 52 each

WoW! Thanks Matt. In about 2 weeks I will be making a trip to check out the car to make arrangements to move the car.

    Thankyou to everyone.
