The FNG....hola!
Hello all, I stumbled across this site looking to ID a car.
A little about me.... I'm a FL car guy who has too many projects. My "hot rod" is a little different. I'm working on a 1970 Datsun 510 with a hotair turbo buick swap.
I'm hear to ID my father's great grand father's car. I was told it is mine if I want it. I think its a old cadi or chevy deluxe. What do you guys think?

Hey tech,
Click on those pics a couple of times. The first click takes you to the host with a larger example. Another click gets even larger and I think I see bowties on the wheel covers?

Thanks for all the replies. I had to get a new harddrive and couldn't recall the forum address. If you click on the thumbnail a larger pic should appear.
How easy/hard is it to obtain panels for this car? I'm not afraid of the rust. But I have yet to see the car in person. I've been told these old chevy/GM cars have thick steel. And rust may not be all the way thru.
During a recent family reunion my father met a long lost uncle and low and behold he had my dad's great grandfather's car in the yard. I'd like to be able to restore it for him.
But the first task is getting the car from Georgia to Miami, FL.

looks like a '49 or '50 Chevy Fleetline. The hood ornament isn't chevy but, all those ornaments are interchangeable. I think even the hoods will interchange between olds, pontiac and Chevy. If it is a Chevy, www.chevsofthe40s.com and http://www.nationalchevyassoc.com/De...2id=12&level=2 are good places for parts. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I think that was a optional dealer item. It helps with the television reception. Betcha didn't know they had in-car televisions back then.
