1930 Buick Business Coupe
Hello everyone. Check out my new ride on my website.
www.fceatx.com
It's a 1930 Buick Business Coupe, Series 40, Model 30-46
Due to the condition of the stock roof structure I plan on making turning this into a roadster. There is just so much sheet metal missing that... well basically I am taking the path of least resistance. I've decided against a restoration. The body is sheet metal backed with wood. Best I can tell is that the original roof was a combination of steel and wood covered with fabric or some other soft material.
The sheet metal, that is there, is in excellent condition. The rest of the parts are mostly original and old. I am going to update the brakes and suspension. I am going to reinforce the frame and modify as required for the new suspension and brakes. Also, I am transplanting my Olds 324 V8 from my 55 88.
I'm sick of seeing all these dang old Fords, dueces and A's. I mean I like them but I'm glad I could get these Buick from the same era. SUPER DUPER!!!!!1930 Buick Model 46

Welcome to CHR, Buick. I agree, the car would make a killer looking roadster. Going topless always draws a lot of looks anyway.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome my fellow Buick buddy to CHR! It is great to see another Buick owner join the club! I have a friend and fellow rep in the BSRA that has a '29 Buick roadster (I'll attach a picture) and they do make great hotrods. I really like your website and I'll keep checking into it for updates. Have you contacted Fatman Fabrications? They are wizards when it comes to Buick frames and chassis, etc. When you get a chance, check out the Buick Street Rod Assoc. at www.buickrods.org where you'll find lots of Buick stuf.
Once again... WELCOME!
