New member from the land down under
Hi guys and girls
My name is Peter and I live in Melbourne Australia. I have a few projects on the go at the moment I have a 1929 A Model Tourer which is about 2/3 completed It has an inderpendant front end from a mitsibisi van (bitsamissing van) 351 cleavland and a C10 Trans with a shortened 9 inch diff I have built everthing on it my self including the chassis and will be painting and trimming it as well
I also have a 1942 jailbar pickup I am just starting to build as well it will have jaguar front suspension 302 cleavland and C10 and 9" diff
and there is a 28 chev roadster put aside for a rebuild at a later date.
I have just started a rod building business and have a couple of rod building projects under the way as well
The first is a 1926 dodge, It is going to built like a boatailed speedster I am doing the chassis at he moment. The cowl is being moved back 10" and widened 3"and cut down by 4" The doors will be about 6" longer than the original tourer items that came with it and the rear body i will fabricate as we go
The second is a 1928 A Model Tudor I have filled the roof fabricated new rear wheel tubs, it has a 350 chev and T350 and the owner is yet to decide on the diff, either a 9" or a Jag IRS
Well i guess that enough from me for now sorry to make such a long post as an intro

Ga Day Mate, Welcome from the Colonies. Got a question for ya. I found a Brit forum site and found that the Brits seem to have more American Iron than we do. They have musle cars over there that we would kill for. So hows it like down under. Have you guys got a bunch of our good ole musle cars too. If so we`ll swap ya a bunch of our zoo roos for some of our iron back. I`d love to come down for a vist, heard great things about your country and ya know the one thing thats binds us all is the need for speed. I`ll let you know when I`m headin your way so you can get all the shelias lined up for inspection. Don`t be a stranger mate. drm184

Hey there
We do have alot of american cars down here but most are more recent imports. seems everyone is importing mustangs they are the flavour of the month. Most of the early fords and chev etc etc had locally produced bodies which can make them a little different to the body styles you guys had. Then in the later years we had our own locally produced fords and holdens (GM). I reckon the land of the american muscle car might be New Zealand as they imported cars from new, and when i lived there a few years back, there was definatly a lot of american cars there. also sorts of tuff muscle cars.
If you want to talk to other aussies on a forum you can try
www.ozrodders.com it is and aussie forum
By the way the new Pontiac GTO is an Aussie produced Muscle carRegards
Peter
