wut up
Hey, I'm Weylin. I live out in Apache Junction Arizona. It's the Pheonix/Mesa Metro area... Anyways I'm 17 and a junior in highschool I'm the oldest junior at my school I started a year late. I've been driving for a little over 3 years and I know very basic mechanics; oil change, radiator stuff, fan, ignition, dash board, I also know the basic into how an engine and transmission work to make your tires spin. Right now I drive a 1973 (not a really popular year) Chevelle El Camino. The guy I bought it from was a complete moron. Omg, its just unreal how stupid he is. It was well worth the buy though. $750 for the truck in its condition. And $800 to replace the transmission which the guy I bought it from wore every peice in the transmission down so much that my tranny guy had to replace everything except the tranny case. It's also paint white/baby blue. I'm going to change that soon just some black primer will do until I can afford a real paint job. Right now I just wanna learn about cars, I dunno a whole lot but I'm really interested. Plus back in the 70's my dad worked for a Chevy factory in Indianapolis so he knows alot about what I wanna learn. In 5 years, what I want out of this truck is true muscle. I want it to run a 10 second quarter mile (because thats the fastest I can go and still be street legal)
Anyways.. any questions just hit me up. I'm cool with meetin new people and all that jazz.

I think 11.60 ( maby it's 11.50 ) is the fastest you will want to go for a NHRA sanctioned race, cause you won't need any safty gear other than the factory seat belts and a helmey. Sounds like a nice elky. I'd keep the paint for now, primer will draw moisture and cause surface rust. flat black paint would be a diffrent story. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Lol thanks, haha the funny lookin guy is meh a few months ago when I got the truck running. No actually the original colour cominnation was a 2 tone Green and Blue. The guy I bought it from spray painted it white and light blue, and you can see underneither the ends of the hood and some other body spots where the original colour still shows.
Also the bumpers and the side panel on the doors (the top one) are supposed to be chrome, but he spray painted those as well.
The body of it is definantly straight, there is only one small dent abve the drivers side headlight, and the drivers side rear tire well, theres a chrome lining around it, that got a little smashed up but ill repalce it later.

Aww I hate Ricers!!!!!!!! Loud, Obnoxious and no real power.
This guy I know sold an 83 Camaro, 350ci engine with a turbo 350 transmission. He sold it for $1200 and a pair of rims that are worthless, then he bought a Nissan Sentra for $600, spent $800 to get it driveable because of thermostate problems, radiator issue and all new breaks. And he wants to turn it into a ricer racer.
So his lil Nissan has a lil 5 speed tranny in it, and he rides the clutch so much you can let off the clutch in first gear and it won't die. He can't even get it to burn out in the dirt and he thinks its all baddass and stuff. He let me drive it and I got it to burn out easy on the street.
I can't wait till I put a 4 speed Muncie transmission in the El Truck and dump the clutch in his front yard, I hate that kid.
