    Thumbs up New Arrival

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and I'd like to post a shot of my newest project just finished. I started out with a steel body 1964 build '23 t-bucket and I spent the past 18 months restoring it to what was. A lot of old, home-made parts, a 1962 Corvette 350 hp 327, a B&M worked Powerglide, 1957 Galaxy rear, (all old stuff). All re-chromed, rebuilt, added front disks (had no front brakes), new instrumentation, new interior, new paint. I'm very happy with the results and hope you like my results.
    Thanks. Jim Baker

The ultimate "old school" rod.....one that REALLY IS old school!!!

Looks like a 26'-'27 body. '23-'25 has a smaller firewall and doors.

Great lookin rebuild! The disc brakes are a wise choice.

The doors are about 17" wide and the firewall is about 37" at it's widest point.
The original build sheet written by the guy who first put this rod together in Brooklyn, NY listed a '23 pickup as the donor body and frame, front axle off a '48 pickup.

I don't have his name on the list. It's hand written and lists what he used. the original steering box (retained) and column as well as the master cylinder were from a '62 Falcon but I installed a dual master for safety.

Working with steel body made it impossible to get a new gate that fit (had to do a lot of mods) and I still need to get some hinge(s) for the cowl vent which I have but is not shown. Any ideas?

    New Arrival

Thanks for asking. I recently joined "GOODFELLAS" car club in Rockaway NJ.

When I have time, I do the local cruise nights at MacDonald's every Monday night. Other than that there are occasional local car shows I get to.

I have another hot rod as well. Finished it last Dec. It's a '91 Ranger with a totally worked 5.0, T-5 trans, 8.8 rear, line lock, Flowmasters, and looks very clean and stock. It surprises a lot of people.

Great looking rod!!!! Next time some one brings up "old school" or "how it was" I will definitely be referring them to this picture of your most accurate rendition of how things used to be!!! Great work, congrats on a very well done project!!!!

HOTRODPAINT is right, it is a '27. But in any event, it is very nice. Welcome/

Haven't been to Denville yet. Staying in Roxbury until I get the QQ's from Trenton. They've had my application for two weeks now so it should be soon. I'll look for you at MacDonald's.
