All, I bought a $6 dollar pigtail for my alternator and decided to re-wire it myself and save $$...low budget...

MIKE, if you want to share any or all of the pictures of your '65 biscayne, I would be very grateful. There just arent that many out there for the viewing.

I was going to post mine but I havent figured out how yet...

wow...a little larger than I expected....anyhow, there she is. I bought it minus rims/tires, minus motor/tranny (350/th350) so I could install some steel wheels and dog dishes and drop my 454/th400 in there. I've got several before and after of the engine bay (where I have spent most of my time) which I will eventually get loaded into my gallery.

    I bought it minus rims/tires,
Good move. Those wheels and tires just don't work with that ride.

Okay John, now I gotta protest!! About the only wheel that you could have put on there that would have been worse would be those cheap, cheesy, chromed steel (even worse with the gold center), fake riveted/bolted two piece look, with a series of holes around the center mounting area.....................Although the rest of what you did there is terrific.
BTW, based on the quote I think Jack was referring to the other white car.

Man I got to go with Bob on that. I remember those wheels.....every once in a while I would get parts car or whatever in with them, and either put them on the next car I sold or use them as rollers to get a car to the crusher.

Just my opinion on this generation of Chevy full size 2dr post cars is they made such great sleepers (and generally neat cars) BECAUSE they are so unassuming. Anything that draws attention to them such as other than stock wheels, hood scoops etc takes away from that.

The payoff on owning one of these is the surprise from the unexpecting when you walk away from them at a stop light and/or open the hood.

I'd post some more pictures my old 65 if I had any, but it seems they disappeared about the time the second wife became an EX-Wife. GO figure.

If you are going to "wheel it", then "WHEEL IT." Why go half way????

See what the right wheels can do for a car???
