newbie... (fresh meat)
Hello everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself. The name's Ry from Tacoma, Wa. I've looked at this forum a few time before.. finally decided to join in. I just got ahold of two cars. A 53 bel air sedan, and a 54 210 sedan. I've got plans in my head for atleast one of them, but I cant seem to find very many parts. Does anyone know of a good place to get parts for these cars??
This place seems to have a lot of members.. hope to meet some cool people.

Welcome Ry. Like Tech said, if you want to slam it, hop it up, and make it better than stock, this is your forum.

Im mainly just looking for the parts I dont have...original or hot rod. I've looked for stuff like reproduction/rechromed bumpers, tail light bezels, and grilles.. but cant seem to find much out there for 53/54. Tons for 55/56/57 though.
Im not 'restoring' them, so to speak.. so I guess you could say I plan to hot rod them. Hot rod, lead sled, rat rod...whatever. I look at it as in.. 'Im building my car'. but if it just so happens to fall under that catagory, so be it.

Friend of mine did one a couple years ago, can't remember the name of his parts source but he had a bunch of new parts for it. I'll check with him and get a name for you, Ry. Oh yeah, welcome to CHR, sounds like a couple of nice projects.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
