New to CHR
Hey all! Just thought Id see what this place is all about. Looks like lots of good info. My current project is a 1940 dodge coupe street/mainly strip tube chassis that is in the teardown stage. I didnt have a direction with the car as I considered rat, hot rod, race, and decided to let what parts I find make the decision. I fell into some alston frame rails and chassis parts so thats the way its going. Chassis work is no problem for me but Ive decided to do the body work myself on this one which is not my area of expertise so the results may be interesting. Looking forward to checking this place and the people out. Mike

Hi Mike, welcome. Nice to meet another rodder who has no idea the direction his car is taking.

Hello ITYS. I see you have a 1939 dodge?
Ya ive flip flopped visions quite a bit since I got this heap of rust. But 'todays' vision for the completed version is a 2 X 3 frame,14pt, mustang2, ladder bar,BBC, TH400, satin black, satin 15X12 and 15X4.5 centerlines wanna be rat, hot, street, strip combo or ?.
Im sure you understand
Mike
Id stay a little more 'true' with a wedge instead of the BBC if I could find one cheap.

Yeah, mine is a truck. It is kind of shelved until I finish my T, but it is at least up on wheels.
Here are a couple of pix. Post some of yours.

Welcome abourd Mike! Always glad to have another ancient Mopar owner here. Mine is older than yours but similar in some ways. I have a sbc not a bbc, but I am currently in negotiation for an older rebuilt hemi (392). Mine has the M2 up front but a C3 Vette irs. Regardless how you decide to build it, post some pix of your progess. Everybody here likes pix, even ugly pix.
