I have recently decided that I dont want to be a doctor anymore and that I would rather work on cars for the rest of my life so I am goign to go a school where I can learn the skills I need to be successful. I am from Kenosha, Wisconsin not the best place for old cars and customs cause we salt the hell out of the roads and only really get 4 months of good driveing in. I bought my first car when I was 14 years old a 71' AMC Javelin SST I just recently sold it and want to get into hot rodding. I am just a poor boy though that works all the time so I know it may be years before I finish my first because I will need to work to make the money to pay for it. And the biggest thing I hate about the classic car world is those that trailer their car everywhere and those that pay way to much money for a car that is just going to sit in their garage for a year or two and then return to the barret jackson or some other auction block. These tihngs were meant to be driven and driven hard at that, otherwise would god have given us a brain and an imagination to make our dreams.
Why not do both ?Stay in school ,you will need it to be succesful. About engines, theres a couple of books that are worth reading also.
