Hey Bubba, welcome. Sounds like you are moving on the right track with you schooling and all.
I lived in Winston-Salem for a year then took a transfer to southern California. It had been my dream all my life too. Found out we couldn't afford to live there, even though I was making twice what I had been, and the pace is really fast. I'm kind of a country boy, so 8 lanes of traffic in the AM was tough to take, so a year later we moved out. Nothing against California, but it was just not what I thought it would be.
Good luck with your schooling and your cars.
