Another kook from Carolina
Hello all. I've been lurking around here for a week or two and figured it was time to join the fray. Having an affinity for orphans I adopted a 34 Hupmobile 417W touring about 3 years ago. It has now survived a second rebirth since my taking possession of it. An odd car should have a different engine so my Hup is pushed about by a GM 292 straight six. A TH200R4 trans and Dana rear complete the drivetrain. Clifford intake delivers the go juice and Stovebolt cast iron headers direct exhaust through the Flowmasters. MII steering with dropped spindles help me keep it pointed in the right direction. Creature comforts include heat/AC, cruise control, stealth power windows, full instrumentation and AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 sound system. She's far from perfect but turns heads. No one to blame for any of her faults but me. I taught myself to weld in order to build her. I beat the body panels and sewed the interior. Now I'm ready for another project. Roadster maybe or perhaps a sedan delivery, I don't know. When the right one comes along I'll know then.
