stock crank, rods, and pistons
3904390 closed chamber heads
been decked to 95 cc
supposedly brings it to 10.25 cr
pocket ported and enlarged to 2.19 /1.88 valves manley ss
pete jackson gear drive
jones solid roller 708/710 lift 250/256 dur @.050
1 3/4 headers w/ flowmaster 40s
edelbrock performer rpm slightly opened
and a holley 750 double pump
msd billet dist and 6AL box
I think the ratins should be around 560 hp @6000 and 540 tq at 4500
if this is wrong or anyone sees any probs in my future please let me know before I fire this thing off thanks Jim

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, it seems a lot of people don't care for gear drives. Even my machinist says the same thing. I thought the principle was that they were supposed to maintain more accurate timing than a chain setup, but it seems this isn't what people are finding out in the real world.
Very confusing.

One of the reasons, and it's a major one, has to do with valve train harmonics. Check with Jimmy, being in the business, he may have a few more very good reasons.Mike Casella
