New kid from Jersey
Hey everyone,
My names John and I live in northern jersey. Been into hot rods and customs for the past couple years and into lifted truck and muscle cars since I was a young youngin’. Now I getting a chance to build a few of my own and help out on even more. Plan on going to school for engineering in about 2 years. But now im working and plan on starting an apprenticeship at a local shop.
Now im building a ’27 T sedan done up in an early 60’s drag/show car style. Has a 283 with 6 holley’s. That runs back to a th400 back to a chevy truck 10 bolt. It sits on a homebuilt frame with a model a axle with split bones and buick brakes. Hope to get it done over the winter and have it on the road by spring.
Next one is a ’40 chevy truck I went halve-sies on with a friend. We chopped the top 6 inches. Going to be a traditionally styled struck that’s going to sit on a ’38 chevy truck frame. Quarter elliptical springs front and rear. And its gonna roll on 16” steelies and blackwall bias plys. Has a hopped up 235 that sounds great.
And the last is a 60’s custom rod made out of the back half of a ’60 buick electra. Looking to make a Lunar Lander type car. Its gonna sit low on a homebuilt frame using the front axle and frame rails from a’37 plymouth. Stark white vinyl interior, maybe some copper zodiac vinyl inserts. Copper or rootbeer ‘flake exterior. Going to run the nailhead I have in the garage with a U-fab intake with 4 or 6 holley 94’s. oh, and the best part. Redline slicks wrapped around 15” astro supremes.
So look for updates in the future with all my projects going on.
John
