Good luck with finding someone. We appreciate the work you guys do, and I hope you get your ride back together so you can enjoy it while you're home.
No, if you were me, you'd do it just like I did.

Okay, lets try and get this straight.-You had someone put a used engine in your car, and your not happy with it. You want to keep the used engine, but you want the wiring redone. You want the guy who can fix it to be in Mn. You want the car to have more power, when its finished. You want whoever is going to fix it to be a "certified professional", and you have an operating budget of $1500, which at $40 per hour buys you 37 1/2 hours and that doesn't allow for purchasing any parts. Right????

Might I suggest you try the local community college automotive shop. They may be able to help you within your budget, but I wouldn't expect the car anytime soon. As they will use the opportunity to teach as well.

    Good luck!
