New member needs serious work done,and completed in three weeks!
Long story short, 1989 camaro rally sport, 5.0 tbi texas car, no rust, home mechanic pulled original engine,5.0tbi, installed used 5.7 tpi lt1. Mind you, "home mechanic" ( half ass'd). interior wiring, a mess, engine compartment, oprable, trying to keep a 1500.00 budget, must b located in mn, stored indoors, certified professionals only. I am a Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, first one's in, caught the man himself dec 13, 2003. blood, swet, n tears were fed to my car before this big mistake accured,(lookn 4 more power , ofcoarse) would like her carefuly pieced back to her ole self and puuuurrrnnn shortly after xmas.

Okay, lets try and get this straight.-You had someone put a used engine in your car, and your not happy with it. You want to keep the used engine, but you want the wiring redone. You want the guy who can fix it to be in Mn. You want the car to have more power, when its finished. You want whoever is going to fix it to be a "certified professional", and you have an operating budget of $1500, which at $40 per hour buys you 37 1/2 hours and that doesn't allow for purchasing any parts. Geez, I'm 30 miles from the Mn. state line and my shop is in the back yard...guess I'm not qualified......(yipeeeeee!)Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Might I suggest you try the local community college automotive shop. They may be able to help you within your budget, but I wouldn't expect the car anytime soon. As they will use the opportunity to teach as well.
