Welcome to CHR, and congrats on a way kewl car and a fantastic video of the build on it!!! Thanks for posting it for us, enjoyed watching it.
What year is the Triumph? I don't recall seeing them on this side of the pond, or at least out here in the sticks. Do you know if it was an export model or did they just keep them on the island?
Anyway, have fun and jump in wherever you want, lots of good folks here and a wealth of information, opinions, ideas, and "been there done that" experience!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Hmmm, guess they just never made it out this way, or I just wasn't paying attention. Reason I asked, one day I would like to build a Triumph or MG with Ford V-8 power just to have something different...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

thers quite a few ford v8 in the triumph herald/vitesse, and a lot in the triumph spitfire/gt6 and triumph done a v8 themselves in the tr7
was tempted as a couple said they have picturs and details of how they done it.

So you definitely DONT have the knitting needle axel diff underneath then. I remember them they had the whole front that flipped over the front bumper to get at the engine"aerodynamics are for people who cant build engines"

Welcome, and yes, the video was very entertaining. You did a good job on the restoration too.
Many years ago (like 1965) I built a bugeye Sprite with a then brand new 289 Ford with some Cobra goodies. Smoked the tires forever, but ruined a nice little car. Handled like crap on turns......too nose heavy. However, it was pretty impressive when I popped the bonnet.

Welcome to the site - hang around a bit, jump in to the fray and have at it
Interesting video with the stop action. It tells the story nicely
I remember a few of those around my area but they disappeared pretty quickly. Probably no dealer support locallyDave
