New here
Been building and racing cars for over 30 years. Came here for Inspiration

Welcome to the club Klutch. This is a very knowlegable group of guys (and gals) that will teach you a lot of new things and remind you of some others.
If you have any questions about something, this is the place to go to get the answers.

Started at Playland Park (Council Bluffs) I was 3. My dad and some buddies raced out there.
Then in the late 70's and early 80's it was Sunset Speedway (Omaha NE)
And then in the early to mid 80's it was Eagle Raceway (Eagle NE), Beatrice Speedway (Beatrice NE) then Sunset Speedway.
I have been involved with Dirt track racing forever it seems. But there was a stint in the mid 80's that I did some work for the Family Fued Top Alchohol dragster owned by the Cavalieri brothers in Omaha. We even won the IHRA title in the 80's without ever winning. Tons of final rounds, but never got the Win.

I raced Sunset a number of times, and the old track in Lincoln. One old pal from down Nebraska way, Dean Ward, is he still around anymore??? He drove for a guy up our way in the late 70's, early 80's.....Haven't seen him in years....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Not sure but the name sounds familiar. I will have to get with some of the "geezers" saturday night and see what has become of him!
We should only be racing 1 night this week. Hopefully all goes well and we can get the car in Victory Lane at Eagle.
