Just saying hi from the great northwest. The pseudoname should say most of what i drive. A black suede 53 plymouth thats dechromed,i still have the door handles on it,the flat six is hopped up pretty well and she's jacked up in the rear. I have way too many projects to ever hope of getting finished, a 1924 dodge roadster with a 318 torqueflight,65 stang gasser,and last and least impressive is my T bucket which has the 200 six banger and 3spd donated from the mustang. I do like "rat rods" and i guess what i build and drive could be called rat rods but i consider the term deragatory since so many "rat rodders" are building high dollar cars to purposely look rough and i just build them to the best my expertise and finances allow. Notice the distinctly odd lack of chevys or other GM projects?

Well Richard when your a 3rd generation rodder you spend most of your time badgering "geezers" for help with your rods. Theres far to few my age that has ever owned a rear wheel drive vehicle let alone a hot rod or know how to fix the simplest thing without calling "the man" to do it. Its hard to connect to others my age when their idea of performance is rims, tires,radio and bolt on fiberglass.

Hey now, im your age, whats wrong with bolt on fiberglass????? I do have to say that people in our age group with "old muscle" dont get any respect from the older muscle car groups. For example, i went to this little hang out and there was about 8 guys from the track i recognized, never talked to them but i remember faces, anyways we pulled in with my buddies 69 chevelle, They looked then just smirked like they were better then the little punks that pulled in i guess, so we checked out their cars,all of which were 60-70s, nice rides they had too, and then went to talk to them, walked up said hey, and they wouldnt even talk to us, how is that??? I just dont get how the decent people our age who can relate to them are the ones who dont fit in at all with them, i thought that we were the future hot rodders but i dont know, I had to chuckle though after we left knowing they all ran slower than me anyways, JERKS.

I'm prob your age, I know where your at, with only building what skills and budget allows, allot of my rodding buddies are, well, lets just say more experienced in the world of rodding, maybe even in the 'Geezers' catagory!!
Your rides sound grouse, keep it up! These 'geezers' here are certainly worth a listen...

Hey Streets ive got nothing against GM's the parts cost less but the cars just cost more. I bought my 53 Plymouth in great condition and if id of bought a Chevy i couldnt have afforded that nice of a car. Mopars and Fords simply cost less since their not as popular.
