    New guy checking in

    Hi everyone.

Looks like we're supposed to start here. I just joined hoping that I can get a lot of answers here. My uncle just had me buy him a truck for us to work on together. It is a 51' Ford F1 with a straight body that needs some work. What caught his eye was the 429 w/c6. Problem is that he is in the Philippines right now so tells me a bunch of stuff that he wants done but isn't here to help (he's the one with the knowledge).

That's why I came here, gonna need to get information and know how from all of you guys. Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forum. Just for the sake of asking, isn't your user name generally considered offensive by people of Italian heritage? I'm not Italian, but where I grew up it would have gotten your bell rung if you used that word.

Welcome Dago!! There's a few of us Ford guys around here, sounds like a nice pick-em-up truck project you have to work on. Ask away on the questions, not too many situations in a build that somebody around here hasn't encountered...

    Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Itoldyouso, probably to some it would be, except to a redheaded Italian!!

I usually use Big Red (also about 275lbs) but that is always taken so started using Dago Red (my father was also redhead Italian and used to wear a t-shirt that said that). There is also a racing plane so titled.
