Not a new member but............
I never stopped in to introduce myself. I'm JoAnn. I paint bikes and hot rods. I am mostly into bikes these days, but from 1976 to 1996 I was very seriously into cars, mostly Mustangs and Jags. At one time in the 80's I owned 20 Mustangs all at one time. I even had a 68 Couger GTE. I have a hard time thinking about the the amazing cars I used to have, as I no longer have them. In my case youth=stupidity.
In the early 80s, I was partners in a Mustang shop but my partners were not as serious about the business as I was. By 1986 I was welding for Moroso during the day and restoring old jags at night. At Moroso I welded IROC oil pans and valve covers mostly.
I have no idea how many 60's and 70's muscle cars I have owned over the years but I sold my last one in 1997, a 66 pontiac Bonneville.
Shortly after, I picked a 56 Ford pickup and a 68 ranchero. I am hoping to restore the truck with the motor and such from the Ranchero. I have a few sweet Ford parts leftover from my Mustang days including a 4sp Toploader and a tri power set up.
I have a couple of cool bikes, an 89 1200 sporty and a 2002 home built chopper.
After so many years of being away from the car scene, I am really starting to miss it, so I am gonna try to get back to my gearhead roots before I finish forgetting all I once knew and lived for. I know restoring the truck will be hard, very hard, but I have to try. Atleast before I get any older.
I mostly paint bikes, but in the past few years, I have been getting into painting cars and last year one of the cars I painted won one of the 5 Outstanding Paint of the year awards that PPG gives out each year.
