my son and i are working on a 53 ford f100. what are the nightmares of trying to use a crown vic frontend under this truck. have been over all the pros and cons of mustang 2 and dodge fronts, but in reality, we already own the vic, and want to use ford parts

if your good with a tape measure and a welder you wont ahve any problems just have it aligned after finished and you wont have any problems

with my toyota no one will align it because it has air bags but it doesnt bother me i dont notice anything and me and my dad built the whole rear framing and built our own four link and its straight so i dont think you will have any problems
Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!

Well since I have a beater 53 ford 3/4 ton pickup I think I could tell you that they were a fairly good front end assembly. Remember that all the old rodders went with the f1's steering gear box because it was easily adjustable and powerful. Ive had my rust bucket on the freeway up to 55mph with no wobble or sway. I couldnt go any faster because when I swapped the mercury flathead into the truck I left in the granny 4sd instead of using the mercurys 3spd with overdrive.

Im not saying dont use a clip, just that there wont really be any ride difference on a truck.
