Another new guy
Hi everyone
I just fornd this site yesterday and it looked great.
I was on another site looking around but was intimidated
so never did post anything
I have been playing with cars for 50 plus years I have not built anything in the past 30 years. I got into fast boats but never lost interest in fast rods.
I live in Mass and also have my future home in Fl.
My neighbor in Florida has been building a 36 four door and it came out great.
Now he has got me ready to start a new project and this looks like a good place to talk about the project and get some helpful info.
Look forward to visiting as much as I can.
Paul

Welcome to CHR Paul... When you get down to Fl., might as well hunt up another project car!!!! Did the jet boat thing for awhile, discovered that boats make a huge hole in the water that you must continually fill with $$$$$$$$.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Hi Paul, welcome to the group, and also to your future move to Florida. (you must have read the thread about snow, huh? ) As a little enticement for you.................IT'S 81 DEGREES TODAY!! We also have some very friendly vehicle laws here too, like no fenders or hoods, etc.
Glad to see you are getting interested in another project after your 30 year rest. Any idea what one you want to build? Whatever you decide, we will try to keep you motivated and give you whatever help we can.

Thanks for the welcome
I have always wanted an early 30's roadster.
Taking advise from this forum
I have been looking for an unfinished poject w/o power.
.I recently looked at a Speedway 32 loboy
kit from the 80's that was never put together. It has some things I am not sure about.
The frame is not a 32 copy but a hybrid and it has quater elliptic rear springs. I don't know if this kit is a good idea or should I wait to find a real or copy of a 32 frame.
I have lots of questions like is an IFS the best way to go for driveabilty?
I like the idea of a glass body as I am familiar with fiberglass construction .
I want something with enough leg room to be comfortable to drive.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks
Paul

Welcome Paul.
These guys are great, full of usefull info.
Puleeeese Don, not you too!!! I get this temperature stuff from my friends and relatives in Florida all of time. All it does is make my wife nag me more about moving. It's going to happen one day in the not too distant future, but in the interim I need to stop the daily weather forecasts from Florida. :LOL
