New guy
Hey guys, my name is Ken and I live in Ohio so i spent a lot of time in my grage do too the whether. I build everything from guns to quads to jeeps: if you don't have the cashh to buy it i say just build it. One of my ongoing projects is a 27 ford with a BBC (468) left over from my bracket car; I'm using a TH350 that i machined each drum to fit as many cluch plates as possible and a 12 bolt that i havent decided what gears to put in it just yet. Yes it's a glass body so i don't know if i can even call it a Ford??
I enjoy reading about everyone's progress on thier builds so i thought I'd show some of mine.

Welcome. Yes, you can call that '27 a Ford. Very nice start and the BBC should get the job done. I like these on a '32 frame a lot.

Welcome to CHR Ken! That's a terrific looking 27. I'm glad you could post some photos of your build. Looks like a really fine job you did with everything. Keep posting the pix as you complete the build. And, BTW, we won't hold being a buckeye against you.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

The black truck looks nice, are you just finishing up on it? It looks pretty much finished. Your garage looks like mine, how do you like skating the cars around? I see your wheel dollies; I just bought my 4th set yesterday. Keep us up dated some of us can use your knowledge. Most of the people are except me are like you, these guys how and they put it too use. Once again nice work, and enjoy the site.

I'm just about done with the truck, down to bumpers and grill. The skates come in handy but i think i just need to build a bigger garage or as the wife will say "stop bringing more crap home and you'll have room"
under the hood needs cleaned but its about done

I'm not sure of the build but I know it has a higher lift cam, dual pumper holey, and headers. It's a shame I let it set so long, now I'm taking advice from some of the members to preoil before trying to fire it up. The truck is pretty rusty, I had been thinking about putting the engine in a 50 ford.
You can't get a garage big enough unless you have a huge wallet. My garage is 42x60 and I have too walk sideways.

My truck is actually a 69, it has a 71 grill in it now but i don't know if i want to go with the 69 or 71 grill, what do you think??It was ordered with a 396,auto tans and "D"luxe interior. I'm the second owner of the truck. The motor has been tweaked a bit, the truck runs a 13.5 1/4 at 99.6 MPH and it's funny to see the face of a kid in his mustang when you can run him down from light to light in an old pickup.Last edited by 27tee; 04-23-2008 at 07:42 AM.

I can't remember what a 69 grill looked like, by the time you get the bumper back on the truck it should look like the grill belonged there. I would leave the grill; I think it looks really good. I'll bet there were not too many big block Chevy trucks in 69. I would hold onto that one. It’s pretty nice having a truck in the 13's the guy in the Mustang must of thought oh sh-t what the h--l!! I'm not against Fords I like them all, and I really like the Mustangs. I can imagine what the 454 would do in the 50 Ford if I can save that engine. I'm going to start the process of priming the engine this week.
I thought the truck was black but I can see now that it is blue. I like the French doors in the garage, gives the garage a little classy look, and the light it brings in must be a plus. My wife says the same thing if you sell something you would have more room.
