Hello..
Nickname "docc"..for 35 years...aka Ken.
Long time cars..and bikes guy.
HotRods..drag cars..sport cars..sportbikes..crusiers..cafes..and..amiring the work folks put into their rides. Took a long time..Raised kids..kids eat money..still have one teenager. Coached baseball until 12/19/2007 (back injury..and other parts !)
My car is a 53 Jaguar XK120SE..
An old SCCA racer I bought in 1973..long story..but finally finished (whatever that means) in 2006.
It was converted to SBC sometime in the late50s..so I restored it to that time.
New crate 350..worked double humps..Edel Torker..Holley..etc..for a period type feel and look.
I am on some of the other HR boards..this looks like a great site for a guy without prejudice about styles..
Guess it's hard to be with an odd ball set up like mine...
Hey..I even made a cafe GL1000..yep..a cafe'd Goldwing..

Welcome Docc, aka Ken!
I assume that your avatar is your XK120SE, if so that looks like a really fine example of one. Years ago I had a XK150S roadster for a brief time. Bought it off of a guy I knew who had problems with it. Problems did not stop with my buying it , so I traded it off after about 6 months. It was a great looking and handling car, and quite fast. Have sometimes regretted getting rid of it, until the memory of the problems come back, then the regrets seem to fade.
I still have two 1975 Gold Wings GL1000's, one in each of the first year colors. Neither are cafe's, I always preferred dressers.
How about some pics of your Jag and the Wing. We love pictures.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Here is the "heretic 120" as the Jag guys know it..!
Because..but not limited to....this..
The Jag has a very interesting history..almost lost it in a DEA bust (NOT MINE !!). Paint shop was a front for a import/export here in Tucson. Guy stole my motor..went back to straighten him out. DEA tape..impounded everything..I got mine out..two days before.
With two kids soon..new house..it took 22 years to complete. 10/2006..
Everything mechanically restored as it was as a racer..new crate block. Built it old style..kept the power band higher as it weighs 2400LBS..Last edited by Docc; 06-10-2008 at 03:33 PM.
