Hey just another gear head wandering though.

Mu current interest is rat rods of various types. I drive a 72 VW bus with a 5 inch chop and a 4 inch drop as a daily driver in the summer. I bought it off ebay with most of the serious custom work done but I've pumped 4 rolls of welding wire into it so far. I've decided to finish it up, paint it and sell it so I can make something new.

For my new summer driver I want to build some sort of truck with a small diesel in it.

The idea is a VW TDI grease burner that powers a half steel, half barn board looking maw and paw kettle/beverly hill billies rat pickup truck contraption that is light and easily powered and capable of being used for work 5 days a week and has to get at least as much attention as the vw bus does....on a tight budget
