    Another old phart

Saw some familiar names, and thought I would check this forum out.

I don't consider myself a true hotrodder yet, but I am working on it. I do all the work on my car myself, I take all the advice I can get. Nobodys pinchers have been on my car but mine. This is my first complete rebuild. Its a daggone hoot.

I'm not too computer savy, so my wife will have to post the pictures for me

Welcome to the forum. For someone who doesn't consider themselves a hot rodder yet it sure looks like you got through that chop ok. Have the Mrs. put up some pictures, we would love to see them.

thanks folks.i took 7 in.off the top.lowersd it 4in.put it on an s10 frame.i sat a 350-400-8.5,3-56,detroit locker.took 11 in.out of the frame.tubbed it out for so i can run some 50s if i want.i want to fold the rocker and try to down 3 more in.its 44 in. high now.i would like 41 much better.if i swallow 3 in.of the frame ill have to go with a 3 in. cowl hood.i did all my cutting with a skill saw and sawsall.used a good strait edge and used a scratch all to make all the marks.you can cut on a knife line this way.fits nice.ready to weld.used a small wire welder.moved around alot with small tacklike welds.no warpage.its been a hoot so far.geezer69
