New Member from England UK
Hey Guys, Hope you all are doing good?
My Name is Dave, I live in the North East of England UK where we have a small Hot Rod community,I have been into Rods since the late 70`s and have built a few Rods since then, the 1st was a Model A roadster(fibreglass), fitted with a Chevy 350ci, which was sold to help finance a house, then a 100E Pop fitted with a Rover 215ci, which was sold as the patter of two small feet arrived, after the 2nd child arrive I managed to get hold of a 57 Chevy Station wagon, ideal family runabout but not really me,so this was sold and the next Rod was a Model A Delivery(fibreglass) was built along with a steel Model A pick up which I imported into the UK from New Jersey. The Delivery has now been sold and a 37 Ford Slantback has taken its place which is getting some work done over the next few months ,I have managed to get hold of a 38 front which seems to fit rather well and the next job to be done is to chop the roof of and make a Phaeton out of it.
The Pick Up was swapped for a 1947 Ford Sedan fitted with a 350/350 and a camero front clip along with a 10 bolt rear, which I have run to the shows throughout the last 14 months, this is my ideal Family Rod,even tows a caravan. It makes a change from the Model A`s that I have had over the years, loads of room, but I still have an itch for another Model A so possibly a coupe will appear in the future!!
I have been to the US a few times over the years and we usually go to Florida keeps the Family happy visiting Mickey whilst also being able to visit a few Rod shops and shows especially the NSRA event in October.
On the 21st September 2008 it was my Birthday and the wife (Tracy) has arranged for me and some friends to visit the Grand National Roadster Show in January 2009, what a suprise that was ! so if you see 4 guys from england with BIG smiles wandering around the show with bags of parts under there arms. please stop and say Hello..
A link to my 1937 Slantback and my 1947 Sedan enjoy!

Welcome to CHR Dave, sounds like you are what this site is all about. I've been around cars all of my 62 years but I don't have the skills that the guys on this site have.
You will be a great asset with your background, send lots of pictures or links we all like to see anything that runs, or even gets pulled like my stuff!!!!

Welcome, Dave.
Some of my favorite TV shows are out of the UK. My kids dont understand how I can think Fawlty Towers is funny; I think it's insanely funny no matter how many times I watch it. Your 37 looks really cool, keep posting them pictures.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
