New guy from Indiana with '48 Fleetmaster

Hey everyone. I have spent the last 6 years over at a 2nd gen camaro site for my 79 Z28. Well, I am selling off the Z and the new toy is an all original (one repaint long ago) barn fresh 48 Chevrolet Fleetmaster 2 dr sedan. It was in a barn for 15 years and has always been a local car.
I plan on getting it driveable and making improvements as needed/wanted/afforded. Not sure on the direction I want to go long term yet, but it has a lot of potential. I have even considered giving it the driveline out of the 79Z.
What made me want to buy it is that it has decent paint, very little rust, and the chrome work needs a lot of help, especially the grill. I do rechroming for a living, so this is a great project for me.
The pics aren't the best, but its all I got on the computer right now. On the camaro forums, we just love to see pics, I assume you do too.

    -Josh

Great looking car, much nicer than a "Z". Can never have enough pictures!
My brother has a '48 four door in good running order, needs paint. Has yours got the vacuum shift? Strange but cool pre-automatic trans. accessory.

Nice car, also nice to know you do rechroming. I may get in touch for some rechroming, if I can ever get to work on a car instead of house repairs.

    Welcome to CHR.

Josh welcome to CHR! That appears to be a really fine 48 Fleetmaster. Really looks good for a 15 year retirement in a barn. Should make a very nice cruiser when updated. Looks like you got a great headstart on a nice ride.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!
