    Newbie from the GNW !!!!

Just wanted to say hello to all....

We have been out of hot rodding for awhile and have been playing with fiberglass dune buggies. I have been on several dune buggy sites but up until a few weeks ago I started looking for some info on our next project and stumbled onto a hot rod forum. Well, I didn't really feel like I fit in there so I kept looking around and lurked here for awhile and it seemed more like what we are into.

We did have a 27 T-Bucket until a few month's ago when the wife was hit with some health problems that forced us to sell allot of our stuff to pay the bills.... ...well, that's ok cause she is doing good and we are starting to move forward now.

About six years ago we were at a car show and the wife saw a Bantam there, she fell in love with it and wanted us to build one. I happened to find one through a friend that was in the middle of a horse pasture... Well, it is in pretty rough shape so a few different cars got built and that one sat out back on a pallet under a tarp.

Now it is time to build it.....for two reasons 1. She always wanted it and 2. I will have to do it a bit slow as finances are not so good.

We have always done our own work to an extent, but not a deep as allot of you guy's, I usually do not do my own chassis or suspension and will be looking forward to some help in those area's.

I have typed this up twice now and tried to put a picture on and the post does not even show up, so if there is something different about this forum compared to most, could someone please let me know.

Thanks and looking forward to chatting with you all......

Here is the Bantam body.....It looks good in the pic, just don't touch it..... It might self destruct......

A diamond in the rough! I wonder how many of these can still exist in the US?

What kind of build do you have planned?

    ....chassis? ....engine? .....wheels? .....paint?

Any strong drag race influence in the build? (I had to ask since that was their moment of glory.) :-)

Please post pictures as you go.

    Thanks for the welcome guy's......

    R Pope...It is like a T-Bucket with a roof.... ...

HOTRODPAINT.... that is where the build is going to go. It will use a T-Bucket chassis, I have a pretty killer 350 for it and I have a th350 with a 3k stall for it already. It will also have 4.11 gears in a 55 rearend.

Wheels are already in the shop....weld draglites.

Paint will be a shade of red, I have a few favorites and have not settled on one yet, but it will be a bright red.

Scooter...I am out in the Valley
