Once upon a time, I saw an old truck on an abandoned farm, and decided I needed it:

('37 Fargo)

A couple of years later, my aunt ran into the guy who grew up on the farm, and whose family still owned the land and all the vehicles thereon. He said "sure I'll sell it, but whoever buys it has to take these two as well, 'cause someone's been shooting all the windows out":

('47 Dodge)

('53 Fargo)

My aunt and uncle who have a farm nearby said I can store the trucks there until I'm ready to deal with them, so I thought, "why not, at worst I'll sell some parts from the other two and get rid of the rest for scrap"

When I got to the farm to talk to the guy some more, he told me some of the stories of these trucks, and mentioned that if I wanted, he would be happy to throw in this one as well:

('40 Fargo)

Since the price he asked for the three was what I was thinking of paying for the one that I wanted, I couldn't resist. So in the end, I got four for the price of three for the price of one.

I haven't figured out exactly what they're going to be when they grow up, but I'm currently thinking one low (the '37), one 4wd (the '47), and one tow truck (the '53). In theory, three of the trucks were running when they were parked, so I'm hoping to get one running flathead six out of the deal. I have to do a little more on my '67 dart before I start on these, but I've been browsing the forums for a few weeks, and thought I'd share.

If anyone's interested, He still has a few old cars to get rid of:
'50ish Kaiser Cardinal
'50ish Plymouth sedan
'39ish Chev sedan (I think)
'63 Chrysler New Yorker
There are some pictures here.
