Hello from Indiana
Dropping in to say Hi. Just turned 45 yesterday and got the best present ever.
1957 Chevy.. This has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Now it isn't anything special yet as it is a project car but that is what I was looking for so I can rebuild it the way I want to and my 14 and 17 yr old boys and I can bond on the rebuild.
Well nice to meet you all and I look forward to reading and sharing.

Welcome to the forum. I am a Lafayette Indiana resident, nice to see another Indiana person on board. Keep us up to date on the 57. I dont know about your house but at mine its tooo dang cold to still be productive on a project.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

I grew up in Illinois, and one of the cars I cruised was a '57 Bel Air 2-dr H.T. with a 283 4-spd. (I wish I could still buy one for $75!!!)
Of the many I built, it was one of my favorite cars. I think you will enjoy it even more with you kids! Welcome!

Welcome to the forums. When my daughter was around 3-5, she would help me work on my Javelin by handing me wrenches, even if they were not what I was looking for. Now at 14, she doesn't go near anything with grease, at least not till next year. I told her she needs to learn how to change a tire and the oil before she gets her license. Have a good time with your boys.
