South Florida rodder checking in...
Hi fellow gearheads, My name is Fred Baum and I am from Loxahatchee, Florida, just outside of West Palm Beach. I am 61 years old and have been a gearhead as long as I can remember. I turn wrenches for a living and my main hobbies are woodworking and of course, rodding. My car of interest is a 33 Ford three window, built in the highboy style. It is powered by a ZZ4 Chevy, followed by a built 700r4. The rear is a limited slip 9" with 3:50 gears. With the exception of the interior and the trans, I built it myself. This is the 8th year on the road with it. I have lurked here for a while before deceiding to join. I belong to some other boards, too, but, some of them seem to have lost the concept of what rodding is all about. Too many rules about what is proper and what is not. I am a rodder, not a restorer. Anyway, it's good to be here. Here's a couple of photos of my car, hope they help define who I am.

Welcome ZZFord; That's one nice car you have there.
I like the way you put it about being a Rodder not Restorer,
same here. Non of my cars are as nice or as old as yours though.
My project is a 65 Ranchero that I am in the middle of placing on
a new frame and tubbing my self.

Welcome Fred. You have come to the right place. I think we Floridians outnumber everyone else here.
I, too, am a member of a couple of other sites, but I spend more time here than all the others combined. Lots of brain power and experience here and lots of nice folks. Sometimes we even agree to disagree without getting uppity or mad.
Very nice ride you've got there. Are you going to Billetproof?Jim

Welcome to CHR, Fred. Very fine looking 33 coupe you have. Lot of street/hot rodders here who appreciate fine autos.
BTW, we won't hold your being from Florida against you. We might even ignore that you are another Bowtie powered Blue Oval owner.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!
