    New B

Hey everyone. I've got a 92 full size chevy truck. It originally had a 4.3 in it but the previous owner put a V8 in it. I'm not sure if it's a 305 or a 350 though. I'm here to learn about chevy engines and have just bought a 383 kit from Eagle. I've built a few motors but they were ford and the newer modular design motors. With that said, I'll be asking for some much needed help with this project. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Thanks. I noticed that every time I try to post a thread anywhere besides the "new memeber area" it says it has to be approved by a mod first. Will it always be like that? It takes about a day it seems for a thread or post to show up.

hey content. look on the back drivers side of your engine near the top. there should be a set of numbers molded into the block. write those down and do a search on the web. that will tell you what year and cid that your engine is.

Thanks. I posted a reply in my thread asking about that but it said it had to be oked by a mod before it would be visible. Do they have to ok everyone's posts or is it just temporary for the new folks?

It must be. I just tried again and I can post now. Looks like I'll have to start the tread again though.
