new to clubhotrod
Hey everybody! I'm Quentin from Galesville, Wisconsin. I'm new to the site and compared to most I'm new to hotrods. I've been working on cars and trucks since I was 13 or 14, now i'm only 22, but i'm still learning.
I started working on cars with my dad, always fixing on his 76 custom deluxe k10. It's actually in primer again right now. I finally decided I wanted a project of my own. A lot of my friends are into demos and I've spent a lot of time building mean demo cars with them, sometimes traveling all the way to Rockford illinois for derbys. I have a 3/4 ton chevy I was going to demo but decided to try to fix it up. I was looking for a cab for it, when a friend from work told me about an 83 chevy shortbox for sale with no front clip. I bought it this spring and i've spent my hours of class (i'm also a senior in mechanical engineering at UW-P) dreaming about what I want to do to it.
I finally got the motor on the stand and tore down a bit. Hopefully this summer gives me a enough time to get it partly together. I'm sure i'll have plenty of questions for everybody on here. Have fun with the projects!!
Quentin

Welcome Quentin; Around here we are always in school.
There are guys here that have done with cars what most can only dream of.
Guys that have been hotrodding over 50 years.
So ask your questions, some one on here will know the answer.
Have fun. Kurt

Welcome to CHR, Quentin! Tons of experience here from which you can get good answers, opinions and recommendations to your problems. Some here are about your age and can easily relate, while others of us have 40 or more years on you. We try to relate as well, but it just doesn't work out quite as well sometimes.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Welcome Quentin. Enjoy the site and remember that Don is the only one who may bite. But he only bites when you bug him about pink paint.
