New to everything
Hey, great forum, love to read and especially see all these great rides. Not am I new to the forum, I am new to cars completely. I am a total newbie in the process of restoring a 46 Ford. Luckily I have 2 great guys working with me (father in law and friend).
I am totally learning everything as we go (how to use certain tools, what each part is for, ect), so far its been great and we have really done a bunch of things, even though it doesn't LOOK like much has gotten done. I plan on putting up a thread with some pics soon and would love to see some other 46-48 Ford cards to steal some ideas

Welcome 46 to CHR! Some pix would be great! Sounds like you have a great team helping you! Every rodder was a newby at one time, and it's far better to be one today than 50 years ago when good parts were cheap but hard to come by.Bob

Welcome! If nobody has warned you yet....this is an addiction that cannot be cured, and will last your entire life! Run!!!! Seriously, though, you will find much satisfation, and many friends in this hobby.
Back in the '60s. I cruised with a friend in his '48 Ford Opera Coupe, powered by a 322"nailhead" Buick. On the rear fender he lettered the name of a popular song..."hanky Panky". Your father in law will remember it. :-)~

46 Welcome. Sounds like a great project. Should still be lots of parts for that year. And hey, Blue Oval is a good choice! I think the best part is the people helping you. Nothing builds a friendship better than a mutual cussing at a car that's fighting back!
Post some pics!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Another question that I am sure some on here could help me with. I have some random parts that I would like to sell, but some of them are big, real big (like 39 Chevy running boards for example). I have tried Craigslist with no luck, I do see some of the stuff I have being sold on ebay, but I can't imagine trying to ship some of this
Anyone have ideas on how to do this, having some extra cash would really help with the current job and I have some decent stuff to get rid of

Welcome 46 - get some pictures of what you've got for sale and upload them here. This group of folks is really into the hot rodding and you'll probably find a taker that will come to you for the right parts at the right price (believe me - we'll tell you if you're priced wrong!)
