    New to site

    Hello All,
I'm a lover of all American made classics and currently own a 1967 Ford Galaxie XL with 390 c.i. (315 hp) and 4-speed. I'm considering changing the single 4-barrel to a three-duece or two-fours setup. Not sure which or if it's even a good idea. This is one of the reasons I joined your site to get info on these options. I'm taking the Galaxie to the Galaxie Nationals at Charlotte Autofair this weekend so might see you there. I also own a 1947 Ford 1-ton stakebed truck with a 351W eng and A/T that I really enjoy driving. Eventually, I will restore it but for now I'm driving it as is. Folks at cruise-in's etc. enjoy seeing it in the stock body form. I also own a 1999 Mustang GT convertible that is my daily driver. Thanks in advance for your help. Roy

Welcome to CHR Roy, always good to have another Ford guy around! Put us up some pics of your cars, they all sound nice! As to the dual fours or a tri-power, both work good and look good when set-up correctly, just depends on which you can find at the best price and which you prefer.....

    Welcome Roy!

Go for the two fours -it just looks right on that big ol' Ford! In the late 1960's, the Mercury Marauder came with dual quads and it would pass anything but a gas station!

Have fun and let us know what you decide.

    Regards,
    Glenn
