    From the cold North East

Hello there. Name's Jameson. I'm dying right now because it is winter here and I can't drive or work on my car right now. I have a 1969 Ford Galaxie 500. It's all original 53K miles. I'd say it's in excellent condition seeing as where it came from (western NY winters suck). It needs one small patch on the roof because of a little rot that happened under the original vinyl top (which I have ripped off).

The Galaxies name is FrankenZombie. It's got a 302ci. Plans are to "mildly" rat rod it out. I don't have the heart to fully tear it up as it's in really great condition. My plans -
Patch roof - paint metallic red
    Remove trim (except for windows)
    Paint car satin black
*Torque thrust rims (16x8 rear, 15x6 front)
    *New carpet
Custom built center console w/ updated head unit (stereo)
    *Replace dashboard
new shocks and springs, also raise rear a little
    *Edelbrock 750cfm carb
    *Edelbrock manifold
    *crank cams thumper cam
    *GT40 Heads
    *130gph fuel pump
    *headers
    high gears in the rear
    nitrous
    upgrade to power disc brakes

    * - indicates parts I have waiting to go on.

I also picked up a set of bumpers and a front grill. I plan on taking off my good ones and painting the extra ones metallic red to match the roof. The original ones will get wrapped and put away.

Eventually, I'd like to drop in a larger engine. I have a few 351's at my disposal.

So that's about it. See ya'll on the boards.

Hey Jameson, welcome to CHR. That sounds like a nice project ya got going. Put up some pics of the car if ya got them if it doesn't take to long to dig it out of 2 feet of snow. Please try to keep the size around 800x600. We all like to see pictures lots of pictures!!

Forgot pics! Also, I just picked up a Chevy s10 frame for a future project.

This will NEVER happen again! But she loves cars too and just wanted to check out the new addition and what she'll be cruising around in during the summer.

    Beagles love rides too!

Welcome. Just about 40 miles east of you in Auburn and I hear you about the snow. Looks like a real nice car you got there.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

    Thanks for the comments!
It's an auto trans. I generally like stick, but I don't mind not having it in this car.
I'm looking at a 64 right now too. There's a 69 convertible near me too. Who knows, maybe I can get them both!!!
