Hey Guys, thanks for stoppin' in! I appreciate all the input and support.
Got the drivers side door panel mounted with the speaker and hand pull. Just need a killer design to go on it now.

Nice skins! What will you do, paint or put fabric over them?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

seatfoam.JPGNew seat foams arrived yesterday. Still two weeks before the new skins and butt warmers get here. In the meantime, I'll be looking for the clear acetate material to cut new protective pieces that go between the skins and seat mechanisms.Wes

Wow new foam looks great. Have never found the same for the stock 48 ford truck bench seat!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Sounds like a great excuse to play with some expanding foam!!
The availability of the new foam was a big reason I decided to keep the original seats. Doing a seat swap is more hassle than it's worth, in my opinion. And would cost me about the same as rebuilding the originals. Besides I really like the style.Wes

Spraying a little primer on the new door panels sure goes a long way towards making the interior at least look finished.

Even managed to install a couple of 6x9 speakers behind the seats before heading out to vote.

Steve,
I was out your way Saturday. Our niece got married in Rohnert Park. Drove back Sunday with the top down in the wife's Eos. Beautiful weather and scenery. Hopefully I'll be able to take that same trip in the VR soon. Maybe stop by and check out your project.Wes
