Upper Michigan checking in!
Hello everyone! Just another car nut from the U.P. of Michigan! Cars have been my obsession for a long time. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing about your cars, projects, stories etc. I do not currently have a hot rod, had to sell everything because of the job situation. Just built a website for hotrods and streetmachines. Can't wait until the car shows start! I am definitely ready for summer!Michael Scheuren

Welcome to the site Yooper. Nice web site.
I was through Escanaba last summer to see a private Zoo near you. Came down from Ispheming where we had a Venturers Motorcycle Rally. Your UP is sure a lot nicer than where them Trolls live.

Trolls
]For those that may be wondering, a "Troll" is someone who lives "below the bridge." That is, the Macinac Bridge that connects Michigans Upper and Lower Peninsulas. People in the U P (Upper Peninsula) are known as "Yoopers." Although there are many beautiful spots in the Lower Peninsula, you're right, U P is one of the most beautiful spots in this countryLast edited by fitzwilly; 04-12-2010 at 06:23 AM. Welcome to CHR Michael! Did a ride through the UP many moons ago with a bunch of other old hardtail Harley freaks, the scenery was great, the people great, and the bugs were HUGE!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the compliments on my website
(i would go into more detail about it but don't want to break any forum rules). If you can get past the snow and lack of job opportunities, the U.P. is a great place to be. We have a car show in Escanaba every year. It draws about 600-800 cars and they give a car away every year. This year it's a 1972 Malibu. This years dates are June 4th and 5th. There is a parade and tailgate party on Friday night and the show is Saturday. $5 gets you into the parade and show. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hello,
I really want to build an early Nova(63 s.s. convertible). Had one a few years ago and really hated to get rid of it. I like all types of cars from street rods to customs to musclecars. I like different cars too, Henry j, Studebakers etc. I have a list of cars I would like to own, hopefully I'll be able to begin working on that list this year.
