New here From Illinois
Just getting my car to where I can drive it down the road. Scratch built in my garage exclusively. Still a lot of details to work on, especially the interior. Just got the tires and shocks done last weekend. Tie rods, brake bias, and windshield - I should be on the road soon anyway.

Welcome aboard; Looks like one nice ride.
To bad you live so far away I would come over and help test drive it.
But I bet non of your friends said that to get a ride before.
Nice Job.

Welcome to the Club, awesome site and really neat helpful people here. Awesome little car. Questions... Is it a steel Willys body? Does the doors open and if do can you take a photo of the hinges etc.? Is that an aftermarket windscreen frame and posts? and finally love those flames and the different colour scheme.

Yep, it's steel. The windshield frame is original, there is a structure under the cowl to support it. The doors do open, I put bearclaw latches in them. This is the best picture I have of the hinges, they are original also. They have a spring system in them to hold them open.

Thanks for the photo 23willys, I thought it was but was puzzled with no hinges showing. I am fitting opening doors to my fibreglass Bucket body at the moment and purchased small bearclaw catches like yours but I 'm using exposed hinges and when your doors are closed they look as if they don't open. Again nice car and it must be rare now. One last question.... are the pipes baffled???

Nice work. I'm a flame fan also. I'm wondering what the local gendarmerie will think of those pipes. Let us know if you need bail money. We don't have any (it's all been spent on our cars) but we'll give you moral support.

Yes, each and every one of them. I welded washers onto the tubes shown, and bolted them through with a stainless bolt each. I have a pretty decent cam in the little 305, but it's not extremely loud. I could still pack them each with some "copper" or "stainless" steel wool.
